Psalm 30

God is continually directing us to praise Him. It is what we were created to do, and He has made it so that we find our greatest pleasure when we do so.

And every so often He may even hide His face from us (v.7), knowing that this will trouble us, causing us to call on Him. (v.8-10)

Then when He answers our call, he does so in order that we will praise Him all the more. (v. 11-12)

Am I in the habit of praising him truly?

If not, should I be surprised if He hides His face fro a while?

And if He hides His face, shouldn't I recognize that He is drawing me back to praise Him so that He would be glorified and I would find my greatest pleasure?
