Psalm 18

The 5 'I Will' statements of pride, from Isaiah 14:

1. I will ascend into heaven.

2. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.

3. I will also sit on the mount of the congregation.

4. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.

5. I will be like the Most High.


Contrast these with the 5 'I Will' statements of humility, from Psalm 18:

1. I will love You, O Lord my strength.

2. My God, my strength in whom I will trust.

3. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised.

4. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles.

5. [I will] sing praises to Your Name.
