Psalm 24

Some time ago I wrote a blog post calling into question the whole idea that Satan has control and dominion over the earth; that this is his world because Adam handed the keys or deed over to Satan when he fell in the garden.

The only sense in which Satan is the god of this world is that by default those who reject Christ are rejecting the Father as their God, and that this is equivalent to bowing their knee to Satan as their personal god.

But he does not control the created world, he is not a ruler, he has no dominion, he is not a king of an alternate kingdom.

He deceives the world, he does not have ultimate dominion over it.

On the contrary...

"The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein."
