Conspicuous by its absence is any kind of complaint specifically regarding the betrayal of David's son.
One would expect that a prayer like this would mention the fact that the current circumstance is due to the psalmist's son betraying him.
But other than a comment under the title, there is no specific complaint about it.
It's as if in the psalmist's mind he has disowned his son so completely that the situation is no different than an invading army chasing him.
So intimate is his relationship with his God that human relations are all put on the same level in comparison.
I wish I could say my relationship with Him is that intimate, but I can't.
Would I truly want to be?
My spirit says yes.
My flesh says no.
(Galatians 5:17)
